If you are a woman that spends the majority of your time taking care of every- one and need a break to learn how to take care of yourself, Tranquility in the Forest is right for you! You can't serve from an empty vessel. Learn how to keep yours full!

Women's retreat
Where

We'll be having a rejuvenating out of doors experience. People have said their favorite thing about camping is that you climb into a "bubble" where you can leave your worries behind.

We are renting the huge group area under the pines at Dogtown Lake Campgrounds in beautiful Williams, AZ. It comes with a large fire circle with wooden benches all around, an impressive outdoor fireplace, a pavilion, vault toilets and water. We'll be providing solar lamps and flashlights for evening lighting as the camp is electricity-free.

The group area has a meeting space in the center with smaller personal areas dotted around the outside. You can choose to set your tent up by yourself for added seclusion or stay closer to the group.

The entire space is about an acre around off set from Dogtown's main camping area. We'll be about a 5 minute hike from their lake.

How to get here

What

Women often spend their entire lives taking care of others. We take care of our husbands, children, housework, pets, work responsibilities, gardens, etc.. We don't ever take time to take care of ourselves. Self-care needs to be a priority. Too many women live whole lives completely drained and don't know what to do about it. At Tranquility in the Forest, not only will you get to take a a break from the stress of every day life to recharge and rejuvenate, you will learn many self-care techniques to take home with you.

Growing up, I went to camp every chance I could get. It shaped who I am as a person. I learned how to be a woman from my amazing leaders. I learned how to be a friend from the other girl at camp with me. Camp is where I learned about ME. My friends and leaders pushed my boundaries and made me face my fears. I learned that taking care of me is an important part of taking care of others.

There will be no Wi-fi but I promise you will find a better connection with yourself and with your wild sisters that will make a much bigger impact on your life.

Almost everything! Meals, snacks, water, coffee, tea, dishes, tables, chairs, craft supplies, campfires and super sweet swag bags! We want you to enjoy your time outdoors without worrying about the details.

I am a 26 year old Kingman native. I have two sons, Finn 3 and Lars newborn, with my dude Orry. I am fortunate enough to stay home with our sons and pursue my interests in herbal medicine and cosmetics. In our free time my 3 dudes and I like to hike, garden and raise poultry, and ride bicycles.  A few people I highly respect include philosopher and author Aldous Huxley, astronomer Carl Sagan, and ethnopharmacologist Dennis McKenna.  I am a recent graduate from New Eden School of Natural Health and Herbal Studies with an associates in Medical Herbalism. I have been trying to bring herbal cosmetics and body care to Kingman since August 2015 with my brand wet dirt. I’ve been met with an encouraging response and I hope to see this brand through and help the Kingman area experience true confidence and respect for their bodies.
